Pheneumonia: Children at Risk

Children tend to die because of a dreaded disease known as pheneumonia. Pheneumonia is a lung inflammation caused by bacterial or viral infection. It is often accompanied by cough, high fever. When children go for consultation, a physical examination will be done on them which includes oscortation so as to listen to the lungs.

According to Doctor Etta Franklin Etta at the Bambili medicalized center, he says the infection is as a result of 

1) Cold on the Chest

2) Inhalation of foreign bodies

  He says, most children are prone to the infection but elderly do have the infection as well.

 

Also, there are different types of pheneumonia, there is the Aspiration pheneumonia which is about Vomiting and breathing what you have vomited there by causing infections in the lungs. 

In order to prevent this infection on children;

- Children should be stopped from playing during meals

- Always keep children warm .

- Apply Vaseline on children's chest and nose

- if diagnosed of any infection, they should take proper treatment.

NB: There is no age Barrier for any child to take the treatment.
